This quiet sand dune on the west coast of Donegal seems an unlikely Irish landscape. The winds blowing from the Atlantic are constantly reshaping the top into unusual patterns. I had been wanting to capture this for a while and waited for an October day when the light was softened by thin Autumnal clouds and the setting sun illuminated the detail in the sand.
