atacama

Crusted in salt, wind swept, baked by the Sun during the day and frozen at night. The remote desert plateau of the Atacama in Argentina is nothing short of spectacular. Its beauty seems only matched by the challenge of travelling across it.

The high altitude provided for some spectacular light and weather, but also brought freezing mornings and winds that made operating a film camera often challenging.

Shooting here was probably my most challenging shoot to date, but also became my most rewarding.

This collection was shot on my manual film camera using Fuji Velvia 50 film
